Marshall Ruffy started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Marshall Ruffy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grimsby Town FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marshall Ruffy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Phillip Baysac breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Phillip Baysac made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marshall Ruffy in the 7th minute. After having played for 8 minutes, Marshall Ruffy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grimsby Town FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marshall Ruffy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 12 minutes into the game, one of Grimsby Town FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 14th minute there was a penalty for Swindon AFC. Dolphy Callangan stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Dogong Cusi. 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marshall Ruffy got free with Phillip Baysac in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Percy Magadap fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dogong Cusi having to interfere. In the 28th match minute, Grimsby Town FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boni Sablon to maneuver through the defense. In the 34th minute, Marshall Ruffy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Adam Allado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Swindon AFC's Phillip Baysac got control of the ball when Marshall Ruffy tried to sneak it across the goal line. Adam Allado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Phillip Baysac made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Allado in the 46th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ora Dulay was the one to do the kick off. Adam Allado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phillip Baysac having to interfere. In the 65th minute, Marshall Ruffy made a precise shot to the right of Phillip Baysac. Swindon AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. In the 69th minute Marshall Ruffy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Phillip Baysac saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Grimsby Town FC's Marshall Ruffy in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Swindon AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Shaq Tongol hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Swindon AFC's Phillip Baysac played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marshall Ruffy in the 74th minute of play. Percy Calip kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Margarito Parawan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Dogong Cusi made a huge save. In the 94th minute, Jasper Ragot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
