Philippine AZkals's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mandaon FC the free kick. Mandaon FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Otto Songco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andrew Mamot breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Philippine AZkals's Andrew Mamot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Homobono Leyson in the 70th minute of play. Andrew Mamot stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oscar Quison's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute.
