After a defensive mix-up in Swindon AFC's zone, Bern Madali stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Phillip Baysac came out of the goal and Bern Madali tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 16th minute Ora Dulay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrew Mamot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonides Sia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andrew Mamot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ora Dulay, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 29th match minute, Philippine AZkals was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonides Sia to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Margarito Parawan got free with Andrew Mamot in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Philippine AZkals's Aurelius Baradi got a free kick in the 31st minute. Margarito Parawan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrew Mamot having to interfere. Ora Dulay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Philippine AZkals's Leonides Sia got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Phillip Baysac made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bern Madali in the 44th minute of play. Margarito Parawan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Andrew Mamot made a huge save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leonides Sia was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Swindon AFC booed when Philippine AZkals was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jerome Zerrudo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Swindon AFC's Percy Magadap got a free kick in the 69th minute. If Bern Madali had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andrew Mamot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Margarito Parawan in the 74th minute of play. If Margarito Parawan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Philippine AZkals's Andrew Mamot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Margarito Parawan in the 82nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ora Dulay in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andrew Mamot saved Philippine AZkals from getting behind. In the 98th minute the ball was on its way in behind Philippine AZkals's goalkeeper Andrew Mamot, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the referee ended the match the Swindon AFC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
