Grimsby Town FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Swindon AFC the free kick. Jim Malabuyo hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marshall Ruffy in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Phillip Baysac prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Grimsby Town FC's Marshall Ruffy got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ora Dulay in the 45th minute of play forced Grimsby Town FC's goalkeeper Dogong Cusi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ora Dulay to strike the kick off in the second half. Marshall Ruffy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 65thth minute of the game Adam Allado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Swindon AFC's Phillip Baysac was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ora Dulay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Dogong Cusi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Swindon AFC fans' excitement grew in the 75th match minute when Swindon AFC's Ora Dulay looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Grimsby Town FC's Dogong Cusi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ora Dulay in the 78th minute of play. Marshall Ruffy was extremely unlucky when he, in the 96th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The Swindon AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Grimsby Town FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
