Hilario Ibanez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Romnick Tengco in the 4th minute. Romnick Tengco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Hilario Ibanez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kapayas Caruscay in the 10th minute of play forced General Santos City AFC's goalkeeper Luzon Allado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hilario Ibanez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stanley Macapugay in the 12th minute of play. Edmund Rabaca charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edmund Rabaca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 15th match minute, General Santos City AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmund Rabaca to maneuver through the defense. After 22 minutes, Hasler Lampert mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Koror FC and the General Santos City AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of General Santos City AFC booed when Koror FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hasler Lampert didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute, Stanley Macapugay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luzon Allado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kapayas Caruscay in the 24th minute of play. In the 30th minute Kapayas Caruscay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luzon Allado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Romnick Tengco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hilario Ibanez was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. General Santos City AFC were awarded a corner in the 34th minute after Koror FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Stanley Macapugay took the corner. Romnick Tengco who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Hilario Ibanez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 37th minute Enrique Corpeño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luzon Allado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Inocencio Omaga hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 44th minute, Romnick Tengco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Fadil Račić made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fadil Račić in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luzon Allado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luzon Allado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kapayas Caruscay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of General Santos City AFC booed when Koror FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kapayas Caruscay didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Koror FC's zone, Stanley Macapugay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hilario Ibanez came out of the goal and Stanley Macapugay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hilario Ibanez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romnick Tengco, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. 63 minutes into the game, Romnick Tengco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Hilario Ibanez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 66th minute, Stanley Macapugay left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The General Santos City AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Enrique Corpeño received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Luzon Allado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, General Santos City AFC's Luzon Allado got control of the ball when Fadil Račić tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 72 played minutes Koror FC got a freekick which was hit by Hasler Lampert. Americo Dubardo kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. In the 84th match minute, General Santos City AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inocencio Omaga to maneuver through the defense. General Santos City AFC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Koror FC for a fine match.
