Spectators: 10968 (Terracing: 8227, Seating: 2523, VIP seats: 218) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Clarence Pumaren took the kick off in the first half of the match. GenSan's Edgar Palugod proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 2nd minute of the match, managed to save GenSan from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, GenSan's Edgar Palugod got control of the ball when Clarence Pumaren tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edgar Palugod made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Henriqua Tucay sent off a good shot on target. Clarence Pumaren took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edgar Palugod. Edgar Palugod dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After some careless play in the GenSan defense, Nicholas Macasa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edgar Palugod. The GenSan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edgar Palugod should have stopped the shot. In the 19th minute, Archie Balabagan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edgar Palugod was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. In the 22nd minute, Kyoto Sanga F.C.'s Clarence Pumaren ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Edgar Palugod. Edgar Palugod yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Archie Balabagan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Edgar Palugod. That made the score 6-0 in the 27 minute of play. In the 30th minute of the match, Clarence Pumaren got a very nice opportunity to score, but Edgar Palugod was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 31st minute, Archie Balabagan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kyoto Sanga F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. In the 34th minute, Clarence Pumaren ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edgar Palugod was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. After 36 minutes of play, Kyoto Sanga F.C.'s Henriqua Tucay made it 9-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edgar Palugod was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 39th minute Henriqua Tucay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgar Palugod saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Henriqua Tucay notched a goal, 10-0, to the right of GenSan's Edgar Palugod. Edgar Palugod was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 46th minute Clarence Pumaren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgar Palugod saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edgar Palugod made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Aurelius Latap sent off a good shot on target. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 11-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Oliverios Lombos to make the kick off. GenSan's Edgar Palugod played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clarence Pumaren in the 51st minute of play. Archie Balabagan took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edgar Palugod. Edgar Palugod dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 12-0. Henriqua Tucay took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edgar Palugod. Edgar Palugod dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 13-0. 60 minutes into the game, Kyoto Sanga F.C.'s Archie Balabagan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edgar Palugod made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 14-0. GenSan's Edgar Palugod played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Archie Balabagan in the 64th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Nicholas Macasa notched a goal, 15-0, to the right of GenSan's Edgar Palugod. Edgar Palugod was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Aurelius Latap took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edgar Palugod. Edgar Palugod dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 16-0. 72 minutes into the match, Henriqua Tucay had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edgar Palugod. GenSan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Henriqua Tucay was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 17-0. After some careless play in the GenSan defense, Henriqua Tucay kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edgar Palugod. The GenSan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edgar Palugod should have stopped the shot. Edgar Palugod showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clarence Pumaren in the 81st minute of the match. In the 83rd minute, Aurelius Latap ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edgar Palugod was frozen by the shot and now it was 20-0. 87 minutes into the match, GenSan's goal looked a bit too open when Clarence Pumaren came free, but Edgar Palugod reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Nicholas Macasa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edgar Palugod. GenSan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nicholas Macasa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 21-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clarence Pumaren in the 91st minute of play forced GenSan's goalkeeper Edgar Palugod to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgar Palugod showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henriqua Tucay, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Edgar Palugod came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Kyoto Sanga F.C.'s Aurelius Latap. But to his dismay, Aurelius Latap quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 22-0. 96 minutes into the match, GenSan's goal looked a bit too open when Clarence Pumaren came free, but Edgar Palugod reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Kyoto Sanga F.C. had played much better football throughout.
