But to his dismay, Kapayas Benitez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 10 minutes into the match, Manilla 11's goal looked a bit too open when Stanley Macapugay came free, but Robbie Neilson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Robbie Neilson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stanley Macapugay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Floyd Bahadoran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kapayas Benitez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Robbie Neilson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kapayas Benitez in the 28th minute of play forced Manilla 11's goalkeeper Robbie Neilson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of General Santos City AFC booed when Manilla 11 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Junjun Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Romnick Tengco scored 1-2 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Robbie Neilson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Tonying Inton blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luzon Allado having to make a save. Tonying Inton might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luzon Allado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tonying Inton ran back to his position shaking his head. General Santos City AFC's Luzon Allado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tonying Inton in the 57th minute of play. In the 59th minute Pacifico Bascon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luzon Allado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tonying Inton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ding Lauzon kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Robbie Neilson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kapayas Benitez in the 70th minute. 80 minutes into the match, Tonying Inton notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of General Santos City AFC's Luzon Allado. Luzon Allado was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Manilla 11 getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kapayas Benitez got free with Robbie Neilson in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luzon Allado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tonying Inton went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. 95 minutes into the game, Manilla 11's Ding Lauzon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luzon Allado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. Manilla 11's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
