The supporters of Stallion Lake FC booed when General Santos City AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rammynnos Pendang didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aurelius Luzon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stanley Macapugay, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Sherman Bascon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stallion Lake FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sherman Bascon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luzon Allado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 17th match minute, General Santos City AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tol Domekyas to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in General Santos City AFC's zone, Darren Belano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luzon Allado came out of the goal and Darren Belano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aurelius Luzon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stanley Macapugay in the 22nd minute of play. Stallion Lake FC's Christian Dalugdugan quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Gani Delasin, made in the 23rd minute of the game. 28 minutes into the match, Stallion Lake FC's goal looked a bit too open when Stanley Macapugay came free, but Aurelius Luzon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute Stanley Macapugay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelius Luzon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Stallion Lake FC's goalkeeper Aurelius Luzon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Romnick Tengco. With a little luck, Stallion Lake FC's Aurelius Luzon got control of the ball when Romnick Tengco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aurelius Luzon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kapayas Benitez in the 43rd minute of the match. General Santos City AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Stanley Macapugay in the 44th minute. After taking down the ball on General Santos City AFC's corner Stanley Macapugay fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Aurelius Luzon quite easily take care of the ball. Aurelius Luzon was a little too slow when Kapayas Benitez got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Luzon Allado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darren Belano, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Aurelius Luzon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kapayas Benitez in the 56th minute of the match. Christian Dalugdugan kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. General Santos City AFC's Romnick Tengco got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Darren Belano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luzon Allado having to interfere. In the 65th minute Stanley Macapugay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelius Luzon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th minute, Wallace Padoan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 68 minutes had been played when some careless play by Stallion Lake FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Stanley Macapugay was slow to take the kick. During this time General Santos City AFC's players had a chance to rest. Darren Belano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luzon Allado having to make a save. Aurelius Luzon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jay Lorenzo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 76 played minutes Stallion Lake FC got a freekick which was hit by Dakila Arong. Aurelius Luzon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romnick Tengco in the 82nd minute of play. In the 85th minute, Kapayas Benitez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The General Santos City AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Sherman Bascon struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Luzon Allado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stallion Lake FC. In the 94th minute Romnick Tengco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelius Luzon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. General Santos City AFC fully deserved thier win.
