In the 16th minute Andi Eiboy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bulsky Perangin-angin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yahya Dewa got free with Joshua Haryanto in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Posolik FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tanjungrejo the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 25th minute of the game. One of Posolik FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tanjungrejo:s goal. The referee gave Tanjungrejo a penalty, 27 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Andi Eiboy, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Posolik FC's Bulsky Perangin-angin. 0-1. After 30 minutes, Hastomo Muchtaji mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tanjungrejo and the Posolik FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Posolik FC booed when Tanjungrejo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hastomo Muchtaji didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joshua Haryanto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andra Mainaky in the 33rd minute of the match. Taufik Sembiring struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Bulsky Perangin-angin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tanjungrejo. Andi Eiboy might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bulsky Perangin-angin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andi Eiboy ran back to his position shaking his head. In the last second Joshua Haryanto throw himself and got hold of the ball when Andra Mainaky in the 39thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Bulsky Perangin-angin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andi Eiboy's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. 44 minutes into the match, Tanjungrejo's goalkeeper Joshua Haryanto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yahya Dewa. Yahya Dewa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joshua Haryanto having to make a save. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andra Mainaky to make the kick off. If Taufik Sembiring had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Reynaldo Oktavianus the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Tanjungrejo protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Reynaldo Oktavianus had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 80 minutes into the game, one of Tanjungrejo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Tanjungrejo:s Joshua Haryanto showed great skill when he stopped Elie Kooth:s penalty. Elie Kooth took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joshua Haryanto. Joshua Haryanto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Elie Kooth hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Joshua Haryanto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yahya Dewa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
