Kompos Reza charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kompos Reza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Donny Ketaren struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Micky Sarwanto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bakulan FC. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Jakob Ramadhonna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bakulan FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jakob Ramadhonna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Micky Sarwanto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jakob Ramadhonna's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 15thth minute, Micky Sarwanto skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Steve Sembiring sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 17 played minutes Tjater FC got a freekick which was hit by Bulsky Yarman. After a defensive mix-up in Tjater FC's zone, Steve Sembiring stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Micky Sarwanto came out of the goal and Steve Sembiring tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Andra Karo-karo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andi Prima in the 25th minute of the match. Henry Yarman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 38 minutes into the match, Tjater FC's goal looked a bit too open when Steve Sembiring came free, but Micky Sarwanto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jakob Ramadhonna got free with Micky Sarwanto in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Andi Prima scored 0-1 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Andra Karo-karo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 46 played minutes Tjater FC got a freekick which was hit by Jakob Barus.

The supporters of Bakulan FC booed when Tjater FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Firdaus Ramadhonna didn't get a good kick on the ball. Micky Sarwanto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hardy Ginting in the 54th minute of the match. In the 55th match minute, Tjater FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andi Prima to maneuver through the defense. Steve Sembiring recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daus Hidayat hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Donny Ketaren hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Micky Sarwanto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steve Sembiring in the 67th minute of play. If Henry Yarman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cecep Mainaky during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cecep Ie's late challenge caught a Tjater FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cecep Ie helped the player get up and apologised. 79 minutes into the match, Bakulan FC's Steve Sembiring sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Micky Sarwanto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 79 played minutes Tjater FC got a freekick which was hit by Mario Muchtaji. Bakulan FC's Steve Sembiring got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Micky Sarwanto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jakob Ramadhonna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joko Haryanto-Ie hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Henry Yarman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Andra Karo-karo made a huge save. Bakulan FC's Andra Karo-karo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Bakulan FC from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Henry Yarman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tjater FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Henry Yarman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andra Karo-karo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andi Prima in the 96th minute of play forced Bakulan FC's goalkeeper Andra Karo-karo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Tjater FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Tjater FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
