Gendo Priyatno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fadh Sinuraya, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. A collision led to PSM Tjisompet getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Mahadi Martin hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Matoea FC's Daus Muchtaji threw himself towards the right post 15 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Awalludin Dermawan, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 18 played minutes Matoea FC got a freekick which was hit by Ari Sugendo. Joko Bangun scored 0-1 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gendo Priyatno, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 23rd minute, Joko Bangun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 38 minutes into the match, Matoea FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joko Bangun came free, but Gendo Priyatno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Matoea FC's zone, Joko Bangun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gendo Priyatno came out of the goal and Joko Bangun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 48 minutes into the match, Joko Bangun had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gendo Priyatno. Matoea FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joko Bangun was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fadh Sinuraya was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute, Awalludin Dermawan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Matoea FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. 61 minutes into the game, Awalludin Dermawan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Matoea FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PSM Tjisompet the free kick. In the 61st match minute, Matoea FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Awalludin Dermawan to maneuver through the defense. Rochy Sarwanto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daus Muchtaji having to interfere. Daus Muchtaji made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Awalludin Dermawan in the 64th minute of play. Awalludin Dermawan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Matoea FC's Ari Sugendo got a free kick in the 75th minute. In the 79th minute Rochy Sarwanto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daus Muchtaji saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Fadh Sinuraya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 88th minute, Ari Sugendo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fadh Sinuraya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gendo Priyatno having to interfere. Rochy Sarwanto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 98 minutes, Fadh Sinuraya took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Gendo Priyatno to make any attempt to save it. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. PSM Tjisompet walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
