A collision led to Krarripehi FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Femi Ketaren hit a great ball. In the 30th minute of the match Fadhly Hidayat shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Micky Mainaky showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Hendrawan Barus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Micky Mainaky having to interfere. Hendrawan Barus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tono Wijaya hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After 43 played minutes, Krarripehi FC's Sigit Putiray shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Awalludin Sinulingga came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Krarripehi FC reached it.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Budi Pane was the one to do the kick off. After 52 played minutes KINABALU got a freekick which was hit by Fery Dermawan. Sigit Waluyo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Micky Mainaky having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hendrawan Barus in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Micky Mainaky saved Krarripehi FC from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Hendrawan Barus's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Micky Mainaky was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. KINABALU's Awalludin Sinulingga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save KINABALU from getting a goal against them. Awalludin Sinulingga was out of position in the 71 minute of play, and Budi Pane capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Budi Pane really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Hendrawan Barus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Micky Mainaky having to interfere. The supporters of Krarripehi FC booed when KINABALU was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fery Dermawan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, KINABALU's Fery Dermawan got a free kick in the 84th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hendrawan Barus in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Micky Mainaky prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Budi Pane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bulsky Eiboy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Awalludin Sinulingga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, KINABALU's Awalludin Sinulingga got control of the ball when Bulsky Eiboy tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Hendrawan Barus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 94 minutes, Hendrawan Barus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KINABALU's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hendrawan Barus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Krarripehi FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though KINABALU had controlled the match.
