Dede Haryanto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 10 played minutes KINABALU got a freekick which was hit by Pandapotan Bangun. Bulsky Karo-karo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Awalludin Sinulingga didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Donnie Mulia went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When Hendrawan Barus came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the KINABALU fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hendrawan Barus couldn't finish the play. If Sigit Waluyo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When KINABALU's Hendrawan Barus in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kawarasan's goalie prevented a goal. Sigit Waluyo scored 1-1 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alan Ramadhonna, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ricky Hidayat during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 36th match minute, Kawarasan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricky Hidayat to maneuver through the defense. After 36 played minutes, KINABALU's Fadhly Hidayat shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alan Ramadhonna came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in KINABALU reached it. Alan Ramadhonna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hendrawan Barus in the 40th minute of play. In the 42nd match minute, Kawarasan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricky Hidayat to maneuver through the defense. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hendrawan Barus was the one to do the kick off. Pandapotan Bangun kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. 52 minutes into the match, Kawarasan's Micky Sitepu broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Bulsky Karo-karo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alan Ramadhonna having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hendrawan Barus in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alan Ramadhonna saved Kawarasan from getting behind. In the 66th minute, Hendrawan Barus ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alan Ramadhonna was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Alan Ramadhonna didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hendrawan Barus went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Hendrawan Barus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alan Ramadhonna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sigit Waluyo in the 78th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Hendrawan Barus's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alan Ramadhonna was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. KINABALU's Sigit Waluyo got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 84 minutes into the match, Hendrawan Barus notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Kawarasan's Alan Ramadhonna. Alan Ramadhonna was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Kawarasan getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Dede Haryanto hit a great ball. KINABALU's Hendrawan Barus managed to work through Kawarasan's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Hendrawan Barus dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. 96 minutes into the match, Kawarasan's goal looked a bit too open when Hendrawan Barus came free, but Alan Ramadhonna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. KINABALU fully deserved thier win.
