After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Andre Barus managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sidoek's supporters rose to their feet, but Andre Barus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hardy Sitorus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ichwan Aswin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Kia Guchi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gendo Sipayung in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kia Guchi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kia Guchi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gendo Sipayung's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. 25 minutes into the match, Malanghong's goal looked a bit too open when Andre Barus came free, but Hardy Sitorus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gendo Sipayung fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kia Guchi having to interfere. Ichwan Aswin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 39th minute Gendo Sipayung shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kia Guchi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hardy Sitorus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Djati Perangin-angin in the 78th minute of the match. Boy Piliang hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. If Ichwan Aswin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gendo Sipayung in the 86th minute of play forced Sidoek's goalkeeper Kia Guchi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 89 minutes into the game, one of Sidoek:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Andre Barus's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hardy Sitorus read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 98th minute of play. When the match was over Malanghong could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sidoek throughout the match.
