Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Andra Karo-karo started the match with the kick off. Kitam Karo-karo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Zulfikar Ginting tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 11th minute, one of Malaysia FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Malaysia FC. A collision led to Malaysia FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Eboy Tarigan hit a great ball. Zulfikar Ginting made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haikal Suprianto in the 17th minute of play. After having played for 18 minutes, Kitam Karo-karo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PSP Baoerena's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kitam Karo-karo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ferry Ketaren in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zulfikar Ginting saved Malaysia FC from getting behind. 21 minutes into the match, Malaysia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ferry Ketaren came free, but Zulfikar Ginting reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Kitam Karo-karo came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the PSP Baoerena fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kitam Karo-karo couldn't finish the play. 27 minutes into the game, Ferry Ketaren cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Zulfikar Ginting was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 32 minutes into the game, PSP Baoerena's Ferry Ketaren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The wind increased when Ferry Ketaren made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Andra Karo-karo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cecep Idris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zulfikar Ginting made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Kitam Karo-karo sent off a good shot on target. After 75 minutes, Boy Cahyono Putro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Malaysia FC and the PSP Baoerena players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Kitam Karo-karo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paijo Sinuhaji kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Malaysia FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Ferry Ketaren 82 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-8. Cecep Idris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sigit Hans, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Ferry Ketaren kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Zulfikar Ginting. That made the score 1-9 in the 90 minute of play. Haikal Suprianto charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Haikal Suprianto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Malaysia FC booed when PSP Baoerena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haikal Suprianto didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 98th minute, Kitam Karo-karo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. PSP Baoerena played a much better game than Malaysia FC and deserved their victory. The Malaysia FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
