Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Andra Karo-karo made the kick off which started today's match. Zulfikar Ginting took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fery Budiarto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 3rd minute, Sigit Hans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Malaysia FC's Zulfikar Ginting played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonard Ridliwan in the 4th minute of play. Boy Cahyono Putro hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Leonard Ridliwan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zulfikar Ginting having to interfere. 10 minutes into the match, Talumopatu's goal looked a bit too open when Andra Karo-karo came free, but Porman Kooth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Talumopatu's Heri Sitepu got a free kick in the 10th minute. In the 11th minute, Andra Karo-karo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Malaysia FC booed when Talumopatu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jojo Mulia didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th match minute, Malaysia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boy Cahyono Putro to maneuver through the defense. When Talumopatu's Leonard Ridliwan in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Romi Wibowo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Talumopatu's supporters rose to their feet, but Romi Wibowo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zulfikar Ginting breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 28 minutes into the match, Malaysia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fery Budiarto came free, but Zulfikar Ginting reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Steve Oktavianus's late challenge caught a Talumopatu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. If Andra Karo-karo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leonard Ridliwan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sigit Hans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Porman Kooth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zulfikar Ginting was a little too slow when Leonard Ridliwan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 60th minute. The score was now 0-1. Leonard Ridliwan struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Zulfikar Ginting didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Talumopatu. Fery Budiarto's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 66thth minute, Zulfikar Ginting skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After having played for 68 minutes, Sigit Hans managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Malaysia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sigit Hans was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match clock showed 72 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Mario Haryanto sped through Talumopatu's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Porman Kooth. Romi Wibowo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Zulfikar Ginting came out and tried to block the shot, but Romi Wibowo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 80th minute. Leonard Ridliwan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zulfikar Ginting having to interfere. The Talumopatu supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Talumopatu would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
