Joshua Romatua helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Selangor FC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Joshua Romatua hit a great ball. Firdaus Arbi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hastomo Budikusuma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hastomo Pane, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 17th minute, Djati Yarman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Martin Barus who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Andi Simamora when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Firdaus Arbi scored 0-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hastomo Budikusuma, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Selangor FC's Joshua Romatua quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Budi Febrian, made in the 25th minute of the game. Hastomo Budikusuma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hastomo Pane, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Selangor FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Steve Sinuraya in the 29th minute. After 30 played minutes Jeretwar FC got a freekick which was hit by Cacá Silveira. Selangor FC's Steve Sinuraya got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jeretwar FC's Hastomo Budikusuma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hastomo Pane in the 33rd minute of play. Selangor FC's Andi Simamora proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Selangor FC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Jeretwar FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Bulsky Sipayung hit a great ball. Selangor FC's Firdaus Arbi got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Andi Simamora made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Martin Barus sent off a good shot on target.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Firdaus Arbi made a kick off. Hastomo Budikusuma made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Steve Sinuraya sent off a good shot on target. Jeretwar FC's Haryanto Eiboy couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 56th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Selangor FC. Joshua Romatua sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 61st minute, Cacá Silveira made a precise shot to the right of Andi Simamora. Selangor FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Haryanto Eiboy hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Hastomo Budikusuma acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 64th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Djati Ramadhonna. Hastomo Budikusuma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Firdaus Arbi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 79th minute, Selangor FC's Firdaus Arbi dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Firdaus Arbi in the 82nd minute of play forced Jeretwar FC's goalkeeper Hastomo Budikusuma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hastomo Pane hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Haryanto Eiboy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andi Simamora having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bulek Wijaya during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bulek Wijaya hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute Hastomo Pane shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hastomo Budikusuma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Selangor FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Selangor FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
