An unexpectedly hard shot by Femi Mainaky in the 6th minute of play forced Bagan Serai's goalkeeper Ade Fitriansyah to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17thth minute of the game Jakob Hans who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tanjunganom's Sigit Sinulingga was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sigit Sinulingga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jakob Hans, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After a rather tough play, Tanjunganom's Adith Mainaky got a free kick in the 29th minute. Ade Fitriansyah stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bulek Dewa's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Femi Mainaky recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Femi Mainaky in the 43rd play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Ade Fitriansyah kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 2-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. In the 46th minute Jakob Hans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sigit Sinulingga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Femi Mainaky's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ade Fitriansyah was relentless in the 47th minute of the game.

Ade Fitriansyah made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. In the 66th minute, Fery Prima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 68 minutes into the match, Femi Mainaky notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Bagan Serai's Ade Fitriansyah. Ade Fitriansyah was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bulek Dewa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 78 minutes into the match, Bagan Serai's goal looked a bit too open when Ferry Simamora came free, but Ade Fitriansyah reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 90 minutes of play, Bagan Serai's Kia Fitriansyah made it 4-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sigit Sinulingga was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 94th minute, Bulek Dewa made a precise shot to the right of Ade Fitriansyah. Bagan Serai's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-4. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Tanjunganom fully deserved thier win.
