Ichwan Karo-karo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Kalegen booed when Bagan Serai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kia Fitriansyah didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dian Wibowo was out of position in the 10 minute of play, and Jakob Hans capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jakob Hans really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Andre Mainaky struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Ade Fitriansyah didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kalegen. In the 19th minute, Hastomo Piliang got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ade Fitriansyah didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ichwan Guci went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 25th minute Jakob Hans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dian Wibowo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ichwan Karo-karo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ade Fitriansyah having to interfere. A collision led to Bagan Serai getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Rexy Akmal hit a great ball. 33 minutes in the game, Andre Mainaky dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Ade Fitriansyah showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ichwan Karo-karo in the 34th minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Bagan Serai's Iswadi Priyatno dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Kalegen's Andre Mainaky got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Andre Mainaky received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Ade Fitriansyah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jakob Hans stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Bagan Serai's zone, Ichwan Karo-karo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ade Fitriansyah came out of the goal and Ichwan Karo-karo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 60th match minute, Bagan Serai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kia Fitriansyah to maneuver through the defense. After 61 minutes, Fery Prima mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bagan Serai and the Kalegen players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fery Prima kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kia Fitriansyah in the 65th minute of play forced Kalegen's goalkeeper Dian Wibowo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kalegen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andre Mainaky was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The attack was good, but when Jakob Hans in the 78th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 81 minutes into the match, Kalegen's Ichwan Karo-karo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ade Fitriansyah narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Iswadi Priyatno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th match minute, Kalegen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romi Karo-karo to maneuver through the defense. Ade Fitriansyah took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hastomo Piliang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dian Wibowo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jakob Hans, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Ichwan Karo-karo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 96th minute, Kalegen's Andre Mainaky ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ade Fitriansyah. Ade Fitriansyah yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2.
