Jeretwar FC's Martin Barus got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 9 minutes into the match, Jeretwar FC's goal looked a bit too open when Femi Mainaky came free, but Hastomo Budikusuma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 14 minutes into the game, Adith Mainaky cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Hastomo Budikusuma was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Haryanto Eiboy kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Jeretwar FC's goalkeeper Hastomo Budikusuma had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ferry Simamora. With a little luck, Jeretwar FC's Hastomo Budikusuma got control of the ball when Bulek Dewa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Adith Mainaky could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Hastomo Budikusuma made a huge save. In the 33rd minute Martin Barus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sigit Sinulingga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ferry Simamora had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tono Tarigan's late challenge caught a Tanjunganom's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tono Tarigan helped the player get up and apologised. Femi Mainaky fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hastomo Budikusuma having to interfere. 46 minutes into the game, Robbie Putiray cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Sigit Sinulingga was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elie Alexander to make the kick off. After some careless play in the Jeretwar FC defense, Bulek Dewa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hastomo Budikusuma. The Jeretwar FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hastomo Budikusuma should have stopped the shot. Hastomo Budikusuma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferry Simamora in the 70th minute of play. When Tanjunganom's Femi Mainaky in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Hastomo Budikusuma made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Tanjunganom fully deserved thier win.
