Selangor FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave The Blues the free kick. A collision led to Selangor FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Alejandro Adrio hit a great ball. Hastomo Pane struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Lyudmil Balashev didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Selangor FC. After 25 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for The Blues! The referee gave Selangor FC a penalty, 26 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Steve Sinuraya, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of The Blues's Lyudmil Balashev. 0-1. After 29 minutes of play, The Blues's Jojo Darwis made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elie Cahyono Putro was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 34th match minute, Selangor FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andi Kooth to maneuver through the defense. When Mahadi Sarwanto fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Blues's protests and gave Mahadi Sarwanto a yellow card for diving instead. Mahadi Sarwanto hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. 41 minutes into the match, Selangor FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rexy Sitorus came free, but Elie Cahyono Putro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elie Cahyono Putro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rexy Sitorus in the 45th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andre Mainaky stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rexy Sitorus in the 54th minute of play forced Selangor FC's goalkeeper Elie Cahyono Putro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute, Jojo Darwis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 64 played minutes The Blues got a freekick which was hit by Dian Ramadhonna. 67 minutes into the match, Selangor FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rexy Sitorus came free, but Elie Cahyono Putro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elie Cahyono Putro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jojo Darwis in the 68th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hastomo Pane got free with Lyudmil Balashev in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Selangor FC's goalkeeper Elie Cahyono Putro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Andre Mainaky had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Blues were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
