Rio Sugendo charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Dian Akmal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rochy Chaniago in the 12th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Kruengmane defense, Ruslan Ridliwan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Firdaus Wibowo. The Kruengmane fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Firdaus Wibowo should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruslan Ridliwan in the 21st minute of play forced Kruengmane's goalkeeper Firdaus Wibowo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Bongky Sitepu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dian Akmal. That made the score 1-1 in the 23 minute of play. Kruengmane's Firdaus Wibowo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruslan Ridliwan in the 26th minute of play. Dian Akmal was out of position in the 27 minute of play, and Bongky Sitepu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bongky Sitepu really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Ruslan Ridliwan struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Firdaus Wibowo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PSP Mergojoso. Firdaus Wibowo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruslan Ridliwan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute, Rochy Haryanto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The PSP Mergojoso fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rochy Chaniago to make the kick off. Ari Sipayung fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Firdaus Wibowo having to interfere. In the 55th match minute, Kruengmane was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robbie Reza to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Kruengmane's zone, Ruslan Ridliwan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Firdaus Wibowo came out of the goal and Ruslan Ridliwan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Firdaus Wibowo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rochy Haryanto, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Dian Akmal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rochy Chaniago in the 65th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, PSP Mergojoso's goal looked a bit too open when Rochy Chaniago came free, but Dian Akmal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute, Bongky Sitepu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kruengmane fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. 75 minutes into the match, PSP Mergojoso's goal looked a bit too open when Rochy Chaniago came free, but Dian Akmal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute of the match, Robbie Kooth tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Firdaus Wibowo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Ari Sipayung had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kruengmane's Bongky Sitepu got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. There was no doubt that Kruengmane were the better team. Kruengmane's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
