When Femi Subagdja fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PSS Tjitoedja's protests and gave Femi Subagdja a yellow card for diving instead. Femi Subagdja hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. In the 7th minute, Kia Ridliwan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kompos Febrian was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Hardy Pane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kompos Febrian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kia Ie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zulfikri Romatua in the 14th minute of play forced PSS Tjitoedja's goalkeeper Kompos Febrian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute, Rexy Sembiring hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 19 minutes into the match, PSS Tjitoedja's goal looked a bit too open when Zulfikri Romatua came free, but Kompos Febrian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kia Ie took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kompos Febrian. Kompos Febrian dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Ichwan Waluyo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Andre Haryanto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Robbie Dewa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andre Haryanto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robbie Dewa having to interfere. If Andre Haryanto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hardy Pane got free with Robbie Dewa in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 37th minute, Zulfikri Romatua made a precise shot to the right of Kompos Febrian. PSS Tjitoedja's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. In the 40th minute, Kia Ie left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gantingang fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. After the first half Gantingang were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kia Ridliwan to strike the kick off in the second half. Gantingang's Zulfikri Romatua got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, PSS Tjitoedja's Kompos Febrian got control of the ball when Zulfikri Romatua tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Gantingang's Lelo Kusumah got a free kick in the 62nd minute. After 66 played minutes Gantingang got a freekick which was hit by Mario Bangun. PSS Tjitoedja:s Kompos Febrian showed great skill when he stopped Zulfikri Romatua:s penalty. In the 72nd minute, Zulfikri Romatua reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kompos Febrian. The goal made the score 0-5. 75 minutes into the match, PSS Tjitoedja's goal looked a bit too open when Kia Ridliwan came free, but Kompos Febrian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Kia Ridliwan came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Gantingang fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kia Ridliwan couldn't finish the play. Kompos Febrian was out of position in the 87 minute of play, and Zulfikri Romatua capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Zulfikri Romatua really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. Kia Ie who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 93rdth minute tested the skills of Kompos Febrian when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 94 played minutes PSS Tjitoedja got a freekick which was hit by Hardy Pane. Taufik Ramadhonna might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Robbie Dewa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Taufik Ramadhonna ran back to his position shaking his head. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Gantingang had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
