Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bongky Sitepu started the match with the kick off. Kia Ie took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Donny Reza. Donny Reza dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Ari Pane kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. After 13 played minutes Gantingang got a freekick which was hit by Kia Ie. Bongky Sitepu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ari Pane's late challenge caught a Gantingang's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ari Pane helped the player get up and apologised. Gantingang's Robbie Dewa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Uum Ie in the 21st minute of play. Sabah's Haryanto Hans pulled a muscle in his leg after 22 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Ari Romatua's late challenge caught a Sabah's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ari Romatua helped the player get up and apologised. In the 24th minute, Ari Pane hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Uum Ie in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Robbie Dewa saved Gantingang from getting behind. If Uum Ie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donny Reza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kia Ridliwan in the 30th minute of play. If Kia Ie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute, Gantingang's Kia Ridliwan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Donny Reza. Donny Reza yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Donny Reza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kia Ridliwan in the 44th minute of play. After some careless play in the Gantingang defense, Uum Ie kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Robbie Dewa. The Gantingang fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robbie Dewa should have stopped the shot.

In the 54thth minute of the game Kia Ie who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sabah's Donny Reza was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 55 minutes into the match, Sabah's goal looked a bit too open when Kia Ie came free, but Donny Reza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Donny Reza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kia Ridliwan in the 58th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Sabah's Hastomo Sembiring seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Hastomo Sembiring the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Sabah protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Hastomo Sembiring had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 59th minute, one of Sabah:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sabah. Gantingang's Robbie Dewa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sipiongot Subagdja in the 68th minute of play. If Ari Pane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute Kia Ridliwan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donny Reza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Donny Reza made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Robbie Dewa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sipiongot Subagdja, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elie Wibowo charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elie Wibowo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Elie Wibowo kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Andi Yarman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Robbie Dewa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
