After 17 minutes, Taufik Ramadhonna mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PSS Tjitoedja and the PSM Wonokerto players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to PSS Tjitoedja getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Taufik Ramadhonna hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hastomo Ketaren in the 23rd minute of play forced PSS Tjitoedja's goalkeeper Kompos Febrian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the match, PSM Wonokerto's goal looked a bit too open when Ichwan Waluyo came free, but Ade Ginting reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kompos Febrian didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 27th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Fery Dewa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Kompos Febrian. The referee ignored PSS Tjitoedja's protests and gave Ichwan Waluyo a yellow card for diving instead. Ichwan Waluyo hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ade Rai got free with Kompos Febrian in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kia Simanungkalit could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Kompos Febrian made a huge save. Andi Akmal hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Kompos Febrian made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Ade Rai sent off a good shot on target. Kompos Febrian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hastomo Ketaren in the 45th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Kompos Febrian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fery Dewa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. PSS Tjitoedja's Kompos Febrian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ade Rai in the 56th minute of play. If Hardy Pane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ade Rai took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kompos Febrian. Kompos Febrian dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Rexy Sembiring kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. PSM Wonokerto were furious when Porman Waluyo was red carded, 71 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 72nd minute, Porman Waluyo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ichwan Waluyo struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Ade Ginting didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PSS Tjitoedja. The PSS Tjitoedja fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kompos Febrian should have stopped the shot. The supporters of PSM Wonokerto booed when PSS Tjitoedja was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Taufik Ramadhonna didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Hastomo Ketaren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The PSM Wonokerto fans cheered their team off the field, for while PSS Tjitoedja had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
