The supporters of Lubukraja booed when Penang Island was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gendo Waluyo didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bulek Idris in the 11th minute of play forced Lubukraja's goalkeeper Zulfikar Ridliwan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Lubukraja's goalkeeper Zulfikar Ridliwan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bulek Idris. Bulek Idris sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Zulfikar Ridliwan made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Bulek Idris sent off a good shot on target. In the 20th minute, Bulek Idris left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Penang Island fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Dennis Lukoye received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Jonas Salk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 26 played minutes Lubukraja got a freekick which was hit by Bongky Muchtaji. Ade Prima scored 2-0 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zulfikar Ridliwan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 33rd minute, Penang Island's Bulek Idris ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Zulfikar Ridliwan. Zulfikar Ridliwan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. The audience was convinced that Bulek Idris's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zulfikar Ridliwan was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. In the 39th minute of the match, Bulek Idris got a very nice opportunity to score, but Zulfikar Ridliwan was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With a little luck, Lubukraja's Zulfikar Ridliwan got control of the ball when Bulek Idris tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The Penang Island fans' excitement grew in the 54th match minute when Penang Island's Bulek Idris looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 57th minute, Dennis Lukoye hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Penang Island getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Sipiongot Budikusuma hit a great ball. 69 minutes into the game, Bulek Idris cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Zulfikar Ridliwan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Zulfikar Ridliwan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ade Prima in the 72nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haryanto Simamora in the 73rd minute of play forced Lubukraja's goalkeeper Zulfikar Ridliwan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bulek Idris scored 9-0 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zulfikar Ridliwan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jonas Salk was out of position in the 79 minute of play, and Dennis Lukoye capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dennis Lukoye really showed his touch with that goal: 9-1. Bulek Idris sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Zulfikar Ridliwan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bulek Idris, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zulfikar Ridliwan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haryanto Simamora in the 90th minute of play. Lubukraja's Zulfikar Ridliwan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Djati Simamora in the 93rd minute of play. Zulfikar Ridliwan came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Penang Island's Bulek Idris. But to his dismay, Bulek Idris quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 10-1.
