Bandardalem
Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000,
Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Djati Simamora got the match started through his kick off. Bulek Idris sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mulyana Idris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bulek Idris in the 3rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bulek Idris in the 7th minute of play forced Bandardalem's goalkeeper Mulyana Idris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th minute, Bulek Idris ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mulyana Idris was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Bandardalem's zone, Bulek Idris stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mulyana Idris came out of the goal and Bulek Idris tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Penang Island's Bulek Idris suffered a sore knee after 16 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 16 minutes into the game, Micky Mainaky was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bandardalem's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Penang Island the free kick. Penang Island made a substitution. Faisal Halim replaced Bulek Idris. After 17 played minutes Bandardalem got a freekick which was hit by Micky Mainaky. Joko Febrian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Rochy Simanungkalit fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bandardalem's protests and gave Rochy Simanungkalit a yellow card for diving instead. Penang Island's Andra Barus was substituted for Budi Aswin. A collision led to Bandardalem getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Rochy Simanungkalit hit a great ball. Faisal Halim scored 0-2 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mulyana Idris, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 33 minutes of play, Penang Island's Djati Simamora made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mulyana Idris was left in no man's land by his defense there! Penang Island's Faisal Halim got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Djati Simamora kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Mulyana Idris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haryanto Simamora in the 47th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dewa Eiboy made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Penang Island's Ade Prima sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mulyana Idris narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Djati Simamora hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Mulyana Idris didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 56th minute, which inside left pole to 0-4. 61 minutes into the match, Djati Simamora had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mulyana Idris. Bandardalem's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Djati Simamora was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Faisal Halim in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mulyana Idris saved Bandardalem from getting behind. Mulyana Idris came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Penang Island's Faisal Halim. But to his dismay, Faisal Halim quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. In the 76th minute, Faisal Halim got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bandardalem's Mulyana Idris proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Bandardalem from getting a goal against them. Ade Prima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Mulyana Idris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mulyana Idris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faisal Halim in the 86th minute of the match. Mulyana Idris was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Faisal Halim showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-7 in the 88 minute of play. Haryanto Simamora could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Mulyana Idris made a huge save. 96 minutes had been played when some careless play by Bandardalem's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joko Febrian was slow to take the kick. During this time Penang Island's players had a chance to rest. Micky Mainaky tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Mulyana Idris. An unnecessary self made goal, 0-8 in the 96th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Penang Island had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
