The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes Bandardalem got a freekick which was hit by Widodo Barus. Sipiongot Ramadhonna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bandardalem's Widodo Barus got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mahadi Barus's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 15thth minute, Mulyana Idris skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 19th match minute, Bambapoela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Budi Guchi to maneuver through the defense. Dewa Eiboy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jatuh Sinuhaji having to interfere. With a little luck, Bandardalem's Mulyana Idris got control of the ball when Mahadi Barus tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bandardalem's Jatuh Ie quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Candra Fitriansyah, made in the 39th minute of the game. 41 minutes into the match, Bambapoela's goal looked a bit too open when Dewa Eiboy came free, but Jatuh Sinuhaji reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Widodo Barus managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bandardalem's supporters rose to their feet, but Widodo Barus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jatuh Sinuhaji breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Bandardalem booed when Bambapoela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sipiongot Ramadhonna didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Bandardalem supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Bandardalem would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
