Hungary's Fodor Daniel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Hungary from getting a goal against them. In the 7th minute of the match, Lam Baril got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fodor Daniel was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Antal Valentin struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Clive Shilton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. After 15 minutes FC LIVERPOOL's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Antal Valentin who took care of the corner kick. 18 minutes into the match, Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Shane Corrigan. In the 26th minute Antal Valentin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clive Shilton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hungary's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Antal Valentin in the 27th minute. It was a well-played corner which Hegedus Henrik managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Fodor Daniel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lam Baril went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 56th minute, Lam Baril got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 58th minute, Eskil Stenkvist made a precise shot to the right of Fodor Daniel. Hungary's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to FC LIVERPOOL getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Shane Corrigan hit a great ball. The supporters of Hungary booed when FC LIVERPOOL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shane Corrigan didn't get a good kick on the ball. 69 minutes into the match, Takacs Tibor had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Clive Shilton. FC LIVERPOOL's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Takacs Tibor was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. With a little luck, FC LIVERPOOL's Clive Shilton got control of the ball when Major Barna tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lam Baril in the 76th minute of play. When FC LIVERPOOL's Lam Baril in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hungary's goalie prevented a goal. Fodor Daniel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lam Baril's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Leo Bean replaced Eskil Stenkvist. Hungary's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because FC LIVERPOOL had won, even though Hungary had held more of the ball.
