Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer started the match with the kick off. In the 8th minute Jilian Verhaghen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 9 minutes Netherlands's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nuno Orihuela who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Gallo Crisis's Nuno Orihuela to fire away a dangerous shot which Arnout Reekers despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Roderik Weygaerts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 12th minute of the match. Gallo Crisis's Levi Van De Wyngaert managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Gust Ennemans in the 15 minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 22nd minute of play forced Gallo Crisis's goalkeeper Roderik Weygaerts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gallo Crisis's Roderik Weygaerts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 25th minute of play. Gallo Crisis's attentive Levi Van De Wyngaert managed to snatch the ball when Gust Ennemans made a throw-in in the 26th minute of the game. Roderik Weygaerts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 30th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roderik Weygaerts prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Gallo Crisis's Filipo Bossaert got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 39th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mathijn Doctor struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Roderik Weygaerts didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. 44 minutes into the match, Lars Meesters had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roderik Weygaerts. Gallo Crisis's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lars Meesters was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lalo Orihuela stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Gallo Crisis got a freekick which was hit by Jilian Verhaghen. In the 60th minute of the match, Gijsbert ter Kruimer tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Roderik Weygaerts saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 63th minute after Gallo Crisis's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the corner. The corner led Netherlands's Lars Meesters to fire away a dangerous shot which Roderik Weygaerts despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Lalo Orihuela's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnout Reekers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. When Lalo Orihuela came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Gallo Crisis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lalo Orihuela couldn't finish the play. Arnoud Koppen hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Gallo Crisis's Roderik Weygaerts got control of the ball when Wim Wilmes tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 79th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roderik Weygaerts having to interfere. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Wim Wilmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Netherlands could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Gallo Crisis throughout the match.
