An unexpectedly hard shot by 武昆奕 in the 20th minute of play forced 沂蒙红军's goalkeeper 赵远枫 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 曹阳城's late challenge caught a 北鸟联's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. 曹阳城 helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, 沂蒙红军's 吕沙庭 got a free kick in the 47th minute. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when 武昆奕 made the kick off in the second half. 杜潮斌 took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised 龙瑜城. 龙瑜城 dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. 吕笑铮 kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. A collision led to 沂蒙红军 getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. 尤鸿荣 hit a great ball. With an extended leg and a bit of luck 赵远枫 prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 北鸟联's 龙瑜城 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 杜潮斌 in the 96th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the 北鸟联 players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
