The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 7 minutes, 김 애 mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Skipsea and the Formby AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Formby AFC booed when Skipsea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. 김 애 didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute, 김 배 ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. 김 고 was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 김 환 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 유 유 having to interfere. In the 28th minute 김 환 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 유 유 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 유 유 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 김 누 in the 32nd minute of play. When Skipsea's 김 누 in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Formby AFC's goalie prevented a goal. 김 환 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by 김 감 in the 40th minute of play forced Formby AFC's goalkeeper 유 유 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Skipsea's 김 누 got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 김 감 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. 유 유 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 김 누 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 유 유 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 김 환, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when 김 예 stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Formby AFC's 유 유 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 김 누 in the 55th minute of play. 김 누 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 유 유 having to interfere. In the 70th minute, 김 누 reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of 유 유. The goal made the score 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, 김 누 managed to get in a good position for a shot. Skipsea's supporters rose to their feet, but 김 누 was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. 유 유 breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when 김 환 got free with 유 유 in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 78 minutes into the match, Formby AFC's goal looked a bit too open when 김 환 came free, but 유 유 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 김 감 hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. 유 유 stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 김 누's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. In the 84th minute, 김 영 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Formby AFC's 김 동방 got a free kick in the 86th minute. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Formby AFC's goalkeeper 유 유, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 89 minutes of play, Formby AFC's 김 배 made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. 김 고 was left in no man's land by his defense there! When 이 상 fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Formby AFC's protests and gave 이 상 a yellow card for diving instead. After 93 played minutes Formby AFC got a freekick which was hit by 이 상. In the 95th minute 김 감 managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal.
