Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling 정 점 in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck 조 엄 prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Daejeon United booed when Slough was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. 김 궉 didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Daejeon United fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when Daejeon United's 정 점 looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Slough's 조 엄 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 김 왕 in the 23rd minute of play. Daejeon United's Marco Millrick got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 김 채's late challenge caught a Slough's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. 김 채 helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Daejeon United getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. 김 채 hit a great ball. When 김 왕 came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Daejeon United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 김 왕 couldn't finish the play. 김 동 kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. 조 엄 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 정 점, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers 정 점 in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg 조 엄 saved Slough from getting behind. When Daejeon United's Marco Millrick in the 48th minute got a chance for a shot 48th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Slough's goalie prevented a goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marco Millrick to make the kick off. 조 엄 was a little too slow when 정 점 got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 52nd minute. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but 조 엄 showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 62 minutes into the match, Slough's goalkeeper 조 엄 had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marco Millrick. Daejeon United were awarded a corner in the 63th minute after Slough's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. 김 채 took the corner. Daejeon United were furious when 김 채 was red carded, 65 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The supporters of Slough booed when Daejeon United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. 김 채 didn't get a good kick on the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Slough's 이 지 broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After a rather tough play, Slough's 김 궉 got a free kick in the 68th minute. 조 엄 was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Marco Millrick showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 70 minute of play. Marco Millrick took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised 조 엄. 조 엄 dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. 80 minutes into the match, Slough's goalkeeper 조 엄 had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marco Millrick. 82 minutes into the match, Marco Millrick had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of 조 엄. Slough's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marco Millrick was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-9. After 88 minutes, Marco Millrick made it 0-11 with a short kick to the right side. Slough's 조 엄 tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 김 연 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 이 지 in the 96th minute of the match. When the match was over Daejeon United could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Slough throughout the match.
