Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Aden Pickhills took the kick off in the first half of the match. Jessop Fulton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Drake Porteus having to interfere. 15 minutes into the match, Wickliffe's goal looked a bit too open when Bran Saisell came free, but Drake Porteus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th match minute, Wickliffe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bock Coburn to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th match minute, Wickliffe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeffers Cowdell to maneuver through the defense. 19 minutes into the match, Macksville's Alberto Beverley broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Jessop Fulton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jessop Fulton in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Drake Porteus prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 34th match minute, Wickliffe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeffers Cowdell to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice moves Murphy Lord could shoot a difficult shot in the 36th minute, which Cliff Wittber however easily saved by the left post. Murphy Lord fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cliff Wittber having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jessop Fulton was the one to do the kick off. Macksville's Jessop Fulton got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 63 minutes, Bran Saisell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Macksville's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bran Saisell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 65 minutes into the match, Wickliffe's goalkeeper Drake Porteus had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bran Saisell. Anthony Millgate kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. When Darrell Dowling came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Macksville fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Darrell Dowling couldn't finish the play. After 69 played minutes Macksville got a freekick which was hit by Darrell Dowling. Cliff Wittber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aden Pickhills, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Cliff Wittber didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aden Pickhills went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Cliff Wittber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bock Coburn, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Bran Saisell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Macksville's goalkeeper Cliff Wittber, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Murphy Lord struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Cliff Wittber didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wickliffe. Wickliffe's Aden Pickhills got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aden Pickhills in the 95th minute of play forced Macksville's goalkeeper Cliff Wittber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wickliffe's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
