Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Launceston's Conner Benson got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 4th minute Albert Pearse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlisle Nurthen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conner Benson in the 7th minute of play forced Kojonup's goalkeeper Carlisle Nurthen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Neil Wal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Martyon Claringbold was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Neil Wal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Albert Pearse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Albert Pearse in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlisle Nurthen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Launceston booed when Kojonup was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Calvin Ross didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Conner Benson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Albert Pearse in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlisle Nurthen saved Kojonup from getting behind. Carlisle Nurthen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Conner Benson, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Conner Benson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Remington Beer kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After 42 played minutes, Launceston's Remy Tarrant shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Carlisle Nurthen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Launceston reached it. The supporters of Kojonup booed when Launceston was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conner Benson didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Conner Benson was the one to do the kick off. A hard shot 53 in the game by Conner Benson from a close distance when the talented Carlisle Nurthen managed to make a qualified save. Kojonup's players were relieved. Carlisle Nurthen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Conner Benson, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. The Launceston fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Martyon Claringbold should have stopped the shot. When Kojonup's Neil Wal in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Launceston's goalie prevented a goal. Albert Pearse's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 74thth minute, Carlisle Nurthen skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Albert Pearse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlisle Nurthen having to interfere. When Murphey Lovis came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Kojonup fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Murphey Lovis couldn't finish the play. Carlisle Nurthen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Conner Benson's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. Conner Benson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Carlisle Nurthen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 96 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Kojonup! The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
