Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Duffield Ancell got the match started through his kick off. Barnes Howie made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Craig Lonergan sent off a good shot on target. Western Sydney Wanderers's Barnes Howie proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Western Sydney Wanderers from getting a goal against them. Barnes Howie made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Craig Lonergan sent off a good shot on target. In the 9th match minute, Western Sydney Wanderers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Battle Shipp to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bart Andrews during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Quade Phillips had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 17 minutes into the match, Wallacedale's goal looked a bit too open when Benedict Wenham came free, but Russ Gaffigan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 21 played minutes Wallacedale got a freekick which was hit by Amos Goldsmith. 28 minutes into the game, Jeffray Beale was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wallacedale's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Western Sydney Wanderers the free kick. In the 28th minute, Jeffray Beale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute of the match Abbott Hoey sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Russ Gaffigan skillfully saved the ball. Barnes Howie made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Craig Lonergan sent off a good shot on target. Craig Lonergan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Barnes Howie made a huge save. Craig Lonergan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Barnes Howie came out and tried to block the shot, but Craig Lonergan slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 48th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Quade Phillips was the one to do the kick off. Artie Kuskoff fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barnes Howie having to interfere. If Duffield Ancell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Western Sydney Wanderers defense, Craig Lonergan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Barnes Howie. The Western Sydney Wanderers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Barnes Howie should have stopped the shot. In the 71st minute, Duffield Ancell made a precise shot to the right of Barnes Howie. Western Sydney Wanderers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Duffield Ancell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barnes Howie having to interfere. Craig Lonergan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Barnes Howie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wallacedale's Craig Lonergan got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Craig Lonergan might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Barnes Howie. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Craig Lonergan ran back to his position shaking his head. Duffield Ancell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barnes Howie having to interfere. Barnes Howie came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Wallacedale's Craig Lonergan. But to his dismay, Craig Lonergan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Duffield Ancell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 94 minutes into the game, Battle Shipp was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Western Sydney Wanderers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wallacedale the free kick. A collision led to Western Sydney Wanderers getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Battle Shipp hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Duffield Ancell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wallacedale's supporters rose to their feet, but Duffield Ancell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Barnes Howie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wallacedale's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
