Spectators: 7275 (Terracing: 5750,
Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 25) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bryant Tresise started the match with the kick off. Vesko Búrzakov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Barnes Howie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 9th match minute, Western Sydney Wanderers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quade Phillips to maneuver through the defense. Irving Hollingworth's late challenge caught a Western Sydney Hooligans's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Irving Hollingworth helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Western Sydney Wanderers fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 10th minute. Penalty! Thomas Coleman placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! In the 14th minute Bryant Tresise shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barnes Howie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Barnes Howie stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bryant Tresise's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Bryant Tresise kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Barnes Howie. That made the score 2-0 in the 19 minute of play. Vesko Búrzakov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barnes Howie having to interfere. Barnes Howie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lawrance Fessey in the 25th minute of play. Barnes Howie was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Bryant Tresise capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bryant Tresise really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Vesko Búrzakov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Barnes Howie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Western Sydney Wanderers's zone, Lewis Heath stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Barnes Howie came out of the goal and Lewis Heath tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Barnes Howie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bryant Tresise, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Bryant Tresise received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Barnes Howie came out and tried to block the shot, but Bryant Tresise slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 38th minute. Vesko Búrzakov who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 41stth minute tested the skills of Barnes Howie when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Vesko Búrzakov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bryant Tresise might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Barnes Howie. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bryant Tresise ran back to his position shaking his head. 47 minutes into the match, Bryant Tresise notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Western Sydney Wanderers's Barnes Howie. Barnes Howie was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The wind increased when Quade Phillips made the kick off in the second half. Engelbert Moths showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Quade Phillips in the 54th minute of the match. Barnes Howie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vesko Búrzakov, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. If Lewis Heath had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Barnes Howie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bryant Tresise in the 58th minute of the match. When Bryant Tresise came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Western Sydney Hooligans fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bryant Tresise couldn't finish the play. Abbott Hoey lost his temper 62 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee gave Western Sydney Hooligans a penalty, 64 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Thomas Coleman, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Western Sydney Wanderers's Barnes Howie. 6-0. 68 minutes into the match, Western Sydney Wanderers's goal looked a bit too open when Bryant Tresise came free, but Barnes Howie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 70 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Lewis Heath sped through Western Sydney Wanderers's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Barnes Howie. Western Sydney Hooligans made a substitution. Bray Russell replaced Bryant Tresise. Barnes Howie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bray Russell, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. When Benedict Wenham fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Western Sydney Wanderers's protests and gave Benedict Wenham a yellow card for diving instead. After 79 played minutes Western Sydney Wanderers got a freekick which was hit by Benedict Wenham. With a little luck, Western Sydney Hooligans's Engelbert Moths got control of the ball when Benedict Wenham tried to sneak it across the goal line. Barnes Howie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vesko Búrzakov, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Quade Phillips's late challenge caught a Western Sydney Hooligans's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Quade Phillips helped the player get up and apologised. In the 98th minute, one of Western Sydney Wanderers:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Western Sydney Wanderers. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Western Sydney Hooligans fully deserved thier win.
