Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Stan Shirdon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Handley Grieve, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. When the match clock showed 5 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Roy Coburn sped through Yaralin's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alford Maciver. After 20 minutes Netherwood's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Aron See who took care of the corner kick. Aron See made a great header on Yaralin's corner, it was just that Netherwood's Stan Shirdon managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 24th play minute Roy Coburn came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Alford Maciver. 2-0. After 28 played minutes Netherwood got a freekick which was hit by Brett Carnduff. After having played for 29 minutes, Handley Grieve managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yaralin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Handley Grieve was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 34th minute, Rick Mccormick got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Yaralin's Handley Grieve got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 43rd minute, Handley Grieve made a precise shot to the right of Stan Shirdon. Netherwood's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rick Mccormick to strike the kick off in the second half. Carmichael Buckland kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. In the 55th minute, Aron See hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Rick Mccormick fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Netherwood's protests and gave Rick Mccormick a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Yaralin booed when Netherwood was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rick Mccormick didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roy Coburn took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alford Maciver. Alford Maciver dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. If Rick Mccormick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rick Mccormick sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Stan Shirdon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Drew Mcjunkins in the 73rd minute. Alford Maciver didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rick Mccormick went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Alford Maciver showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roy Coburn, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Handley Grieve in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stan Shirdon saved Netherwood from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Netherwood had won after a very even match.
