He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Northcote's Edwards Lyle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bryden Merz in the 32nd minute of play. In the 35th minute of the match, Bryce Kaine got a very nice opportunity to score, but Braedan Pfingst was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 40 minutes, Jamese Norman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Licola and the Northcote players grew even worse after the yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Jamese Norman managed to get in a good position for a shot.
