After 45 played minutes Sandhurst got a freekick which was hit by Lance Maddern. Bartholemew Wood received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Douglas Heathwood tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Clark Pfingst made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Charles Neich made a precise shot to the right of Daniel Bostock. Manoo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Douglas Heathwood took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Earnest Sparrow, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 58 played minutes Sandhurst got a freekick which was hit by Nicholas Lucas. With a little luck, Sandhurst's Douglas Heathwood got control of the ball when Bartholemew Wood tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Earnest Sparrow's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Douglas Heathwood was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. 68 minutes into the match, Sandhurst's goal looked a bit too open when Earnest Sparrow came free, but Douglas Heathwood reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, Sandhurst could leave the field as winners, despite Manoo having more of the ball for most of the match.
