If Ivan Snabl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 20 minutes into the match, South Beach's goal looked a bit too open when Steve Tenser came free, but Edmund Heath reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Steve Tenser sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 27 played minutes South Beach got a freekick which was hit by Arnie Millar. Ivan Snabl charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 40th minute, Lawrence Twite made a precise shot to the right of Edmund Heath. South Beach's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 46th minute Lawrence Twite shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmund Heath saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 46 played minutes South Beach got a freekick which was hit by Bradley Crapp.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bradley Crapp to make the kick off. In the 63rd minute, South Beach's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Steve Tenser fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Lawrence Twite came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Lachlan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lawrence Twite couldn't finish the play. Edmund Heath stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Steve Tenser's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Lachlan's Phil Sylvester slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Edmund Heath. That made the score 0-2 after 73 minutes of play. A very good chance. 78 minutes into the game, Edward Gillingwater was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lachlan's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave South Beach the free kick. Edward Gillingwater hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. If Steve Tenser had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lawrence Twite blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edmund Heath having to make a save. In the 88th minute, Steve Tenser made a precise shot to the right of Edmund Heath. South Beach's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. A collision led to South Beach getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Ivan Snabl hit a great ball. Lawrence Twite could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Edmund Heath made a huge save. An unexpected shot in the 97th minute by Steve Tenser got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Lachlan's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
