Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ian Connolly got the match started through his kick off. James Trezise received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Matthew Colman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 6 minutes, Jess Mundine managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Glenmartin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jess Mundine was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 8th match minute, Glenmartin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ian Connolly to maneuver through the defense. 10 minutes into the match, Jess Mundine notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Yerrinbool's Martyon Adamson. Martyon Adamson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 15 minutes into the game, Yerrinbool's James Trezise nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Matthew Colman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Jess Mundine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Yerrinbool getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Herman Oconnell hit a great ball. Yerrinbool's Martyon Adamson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jess Mundine in the 24th minute of play. Matthew Colman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from James Trezise, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. James Trezise sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 31st minute Herman Oconnell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matthew Colman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martyon Adamson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jess Mundine in the 33rd minute of play. Payne Matthes kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Ian Connolly got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 43 minutes into the match, Yerrinbool's goal looked a bit too open when Jess Mundine came free, but Martyon Adamson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 45 minutes in the game, Ian Connolly fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Martyon Adamson having to interfere. Martyon Adamson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jess Mundine, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The wind increased when Herman Oconnell made the kick off in the second half. Glenmartin's Jess Mundine got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. James Trezise fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matthew Colman having to interfere. Herman Oconnell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jess Mundine recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Matthew Colman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from James Trezise went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. James Trezise fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matthew Colman having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jess Mundine in the 73rd minute of play forced Yerrinbool's goalkeeper Martyon Adamson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute, Jess Mundine made a precise shot to the right of Martyon Adamson. Yerrinbool's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Herman Oconnell kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 83rd minute, Jess Mundine got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 86th minute, Laurence Tebbit got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. James Trezise fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matthew Colman having to interfere. Jess Mundine missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 93 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Martyon Adamson right hand side. If Ian Connolly had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Yerrinbool's zone, Ian Connolly stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martyon Adamson came out of the goal and Ian Connolly tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Despite being the better team, Glenmartin failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
