Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Herman Oconnell kicked off to start the match. 4 minutes into the match, Rick Coleman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Martyon Adamson. Yerrinbool's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rick Coleman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Benjamin Brandie was extremely unlucky when he, in the 10th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Herman Oconnell kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Benjamin Brandie in the 17thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Martyon Adamson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 18 played minutes Yerrinbool got a freekick which was hit by Herman Oconnell. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, David Newton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oxley's supporters rose to their feet, but David Newton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martyon Adamson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rick Coleman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Martyon Adamson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Rick Coleman reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Martyon Adamson. The goal made the score 2-0. Payne Matthes charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Payne Matthes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rick Coleman shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rick Coleman in the 35th minute of play forced Yerrinbool's goalkeeper Martyon Adamson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute, Benjamin Brandie fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Rick Coleman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Benjamin Brandie came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Oxley fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benjamin Brandie couldn't finish the play. With his leg Martyon Adamson managed to avoid a goal in the 41stth minute, when Oxley's Benjamin Brandie fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Rick Coleman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 45 played minutes Yerrinbool got a freekick which was hit by James Trezise. Benjamin Brandie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martyon Adamson having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

If Benjamin Brandie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benjamin Brandie in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Martyon Adamson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benjamin Brandie in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Martyon Adamson saved Yerrinbool from getting behind. Martyon Adamson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin Brandie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rick Coleman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 72 minutes, Rick Coleman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oxley's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rick Coleman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benjamin Brandie's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Martyon Adamson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. When Oxley's Benjamin Brandie in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Yerrinbool's goalie prevented a goal. In the 75th minute, Rick Coleman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Oxley fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. In the 78thth minute of the game Rick Coleman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Yerrinbool's Martyon Adamson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When James Trezise fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Yerrinbool's protests and gave James Trezise a yellow card for diving instead. James Trezise kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Martyon Adamson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Newton in the 82nd minute of the match. Martyon Adamson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rick Coleman, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. After some careless play in the Yerrinbool defense, Benjamin Brandie kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Martyon Adamson. The Yerrinbool fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Martyon Adamson should have stopped the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Oxley fully deserved thier win.
