In the 10th minute, Dean Munday got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to SYDclub getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Bryant Shortis hit a great ball. Carlton Orvad took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Todd Bundy. Quilpie's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Brye Hitchen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Todd Bundy having to interfere. Carlton Orvad kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Berne Johnson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quilpie's supporters rose to their feet, but Berne Johnson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rudolph Natt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Best Raison in the 36th minute of play forced SYDclub's goalkeeper Rudolph Natt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
