Nathan Skurrie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boyde Minne, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. The Bilinga fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kevin Stageman should have stopped the shot. Brant Mudie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kevin Stageman having to interfere. After the first half Bulgroo were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Christopher Coleman to strike the kick off in the second half. Christopher Coleman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Kevin Stageman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Christopher Coleman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bjorn Fordham charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rodney Bundy in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nathan Skurrie saved Bulgroo from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Boyde Minne managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bilinga's supporters rose to their feet, but Boyde Minne was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nathan Skurrie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nathan Skurrie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boyde Minne in the 70th minute of play. Brant Mudie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Rodney Bundy might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nathan Skurrie. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rodney Bundy ran back to his position shaking his head. Brant Mudie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 96 minutes into the game, Barnes Brading was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bilinga's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bulgroo the free kick. A collision led to Bilinga getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Barnes Brading hit a great ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Bulgroo eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
