Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Morkalla's Jess Todman started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jess Todman in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elliott Tencer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 8 minutes into the match, Taroona's goal looked a bit too open when Jess Todman came free, but Elliott Tencer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute Brynn Perandis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elliott Tencer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fleming Carnduff charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fleming Carnduff the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fleming Carnduff kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Berry Magnay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cregan Delahide showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brant Gummow, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brant Gummow in the 27th minute of play forced Morkalla's goalkeeper Cregan Delahide to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Brant Gummow kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cregan Delahide. That made the score 1-0 in the 29 minute of play. Berry Magnay scored 2-0 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cregan Delahide, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 42nd minute, Brant Gummow fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The supporters of Morkalla booed when Taroona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonty Carragher didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Berry Magnay's late challenge caught a Morkalla's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Berry Magnay helped the player get up and apologised. 58 minutes into the match, Morkalla's goal looked a bit too open when Brant Gummow came free, but Cregan Delahide reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th minute of the match Fleming Carnduff shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cregan Delahide showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Jess Todman took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Elliott Tencer to make any attempt to save it. In the 66th minute, Meyer Collins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cregan Delahide made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brant Gummow in the 67th minute of play. When Taroona's Brant Gummow in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Morkalla's goalie prevented a goal. Brynn Perandis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brant Gummow received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Cregan Delahide tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 90 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Berry Magnay sped through Morkalla's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cregan Delahide. Elliott Tencer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Brynn Perandis in the 95th minute.
