When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Malcolm Millar made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Welltown's zone, Brant Gummow stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carman Munday came out of the goal and Brant Gummow tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Welltown's Carman Munday played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brant Gummow in the 58th minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Welltown's goal looked a bit too open when Brant Gummow came free, but Carman Munday reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Blake Stockwin kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Berry Magnay was extremely unlucky when he, in the 68th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Berry Magnay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Brant Gummow kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Carman Munday. That made the score 0-1 in the 71 minute of play. Brant Gummow fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carman Munday having to interfere. In the 81st minute of the match, Brant Gummow tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Carman Munday saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Berry Magnay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Carman Munday tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carman Munday made an important save on a dangerous shot by Berry Magnay in the 86th minute. After 87 played minutes Welltown got a freekick which was hit by Blake Stockwin. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Berry Magnay managed to get in a good position for a shot. Taroona's supporters rose to their feet, but Berry Magnay was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carman Munday breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Berry Magnay struck a weak shot in the 99th minute. Carman Munday didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Taroona.
