Edwards Pustak dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl Gruer in the 7th minute of play forced Boolarong's goalkeeper Edwards Pustak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edwards Pustak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl Gruer in the 9th minute of the match. A collision led to Sarsfield getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Duffield Coldicutt hit a great ball. Boolarong's Rudy Cave couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 10th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Sarsfield. When Rolando Monck fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Boolarong's protests and gave Rolando Monck a yellow card for diving instead. Rolando Monck hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Brayden Whitsitt struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Phenix Kerville didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boolarong. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lance Fitton in the 22nd minute of play forced Boolarong's goalkeeper Edwards Pustak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Phil Waller received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Edwards Pustak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 42 minutes, Rudy Cave mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Boolarong and the Sarsfield players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rudy Cave kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Phil Waller in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edwards Pustak prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jemmett Allen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Loud Allcock was the one to do the kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 57 minutes, Edwards Pustak successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 58th match minute, Boolarong was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rudy Cave to maneuver through the defense. 62 minutes into the match, Boolarong's goal looked a bit too open when Karl Gruer came free, but Edwards Pustak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Boolarong's Battle Mitchell got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 68th minute Lance Fitton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edwards Pustak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 69 played minutes Loud Allcock rounded Boolarong's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-4. In the 79th minute Karl Gruer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edwards Pustak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Loud Allcock kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Edwards Pustak. That made the score 0-5 in the 82 minute of play. With a little luck, Boolarong's Edwards Pustak got control of the ball when Arnie Luckham tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edwards Pustak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Loud Allcock, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 89th minute, Lance Fitton reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Edwards Pustak. The goal made the score 0-6. In the 94th minute, Battle Mitchell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sarsfield's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
