Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Bruce Laycock took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute, Jaffery Mcvey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bruce Laycock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Weatherboard's Charles Hoey got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 9th match minute, Platts was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elliott Clinton to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th match minute, Weatherboard was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bo Convine to maneuver through the defense. Barnes Pukallus might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Darley Chamberlain. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Barnes Pukallus ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Weatherboard's Charles Hoey got a free kick in the 17th minute. If Barnes Pukallus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Parker Ridding received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Darley Chamberlain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 33 minutes, Charles Hoey mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Weatherboard and the Platts players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Weatherboard fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 32nd minute. Penalty! The referee gave Platts a penalty, 34 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Neale Durbin, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Weatherboard's Darley Chamberlain. 1-0. Bruce Laycock struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Darley Chamberlain didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Platts. Dane Alcock showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaffery Mcvey, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jaffery Mcvey made a kick off. Bruce Laycock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darley Chamberlain having to interfere. If Barnes Pukallus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Bruce Laycock came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Platts fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruce Laycock couldn't finish the play. 60 minutes into the match, Weatherboard's goal looked a bit too open when Elliott Clinton came free, but Darley Chamberlain reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Barnes Pukallus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Darley Chamberlain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bruce Laycock in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Darley Chamberlain saved Weatherboard from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jaffery Mcvey during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Weatherboard booed when Platts was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Parker Ridding didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Weatherboard's Jeffray Stebbing tried to score from far away in the 69th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Darley Chamberlain took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruce Laycock, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 74 played minutes Weatherboard got a freekick which was hit by Bo Convine. Platts's Barnes Pukallus got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bruce Laycock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Darley Chamberlain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Platts's Barnes Pukallus got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Platts's Bruce Laycock in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Weatherboard's goalie prevented a goal. Phenix Breasley succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 89th playminute. Darley Chamberlain took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barnes Pukallus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bruce Laycock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Platts were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
