After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Everett Macinnes was the one to do the kick off. Chuck Giddey's late challenge caught a Bato United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Chuck Giddey helped the player get up and apologised. The crowd rose to their feet as Bato United's Hank Grandison slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kent Swan. That made the score 0-1 after 67 minutes of play. If Everett Macinnes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 73 minutes into the match, Bato United's Everett Macinnes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kent Swan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 97th minute, Bato United's Everett Macinnes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Kent Swan. Kent Swan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Bato United had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
